As our motto says, our purpose is "Building Confidence, Competence, and Commitment." We start with individuals and teams then departments and finally entire organizations. Although the structure and incentives are different in private and public organizations the concepts for developing effectiveness are the same. We do this by focusing on those strategies, skills, resources, and activities, which will have the greatest impact on their success and enable them to provide the greatest ongoing contribution to their customers. Every organization has either external or internal customers, even those non-profit organizations which are farther removed from their customer base.
These objectives are met through consultations, training, and the provision of training materials. We have also strived to insure that all resources provided are high quality, non-threatening, and easy to understand. To accomplish this the approach has been to provide valuable content, in a concise and humorous manner to insure that the materials will be read, enjoyed, remembered and utilized.
We have also included a resource area for jokes and games to round out our materials and lighten up the offerings by including fun and leisure in the mix. The jokes also provide an archive of humorous materials which can be used by trainers and speakers to enhance their presentations.
The name Effectiveness Dynamics accurately describes our approach, which is to identify, convey, and encourage those dynamics which lead to effectiveness. You have all seen individuals or organizations that consume large quantities of inputs and yet fail to achieve the outputs they were hired or created to produce. You have also seen other individuals and organizations that consume far less inputs and are highly effective and productive. What is the difference? Sometimes organizations start out small and effective and become ineffective as they grow and their focus becomes defused. In a like manner, individuals and teams may loose effectiveness as they become enmeshed in the politics and bureaucracy of an inefficient organization.
In essence, ineffectiveness is the friction which drains off energy and generates only heat and vibration which not only causes the operation to produce less but also can destroy the organizations ability to operate at all. The trick is therefore to make sure the parts are well designed, properly assembled and continuously lubricated. Taking a high friction, ineffective organization and streamlining it into a low friction, and highly effective one is our primary incentive.
Everyone hates to read or listen to long, boring information, even if it is on important subjects and needs to be learned. We've all had teachers, professors, trainers, and other professionals who make learning tedious and difficult to understand as well as retain. We've also all had teachers, professors, trainers, and professionals who make the material interesting and present it in such a way that we will retain that information and be able to use it when the need arises.
Thus, in our training seminars, books, and other training materials you will find that the material is presented in a concise and user friendly format. It is also presented in such a way that the material is interesting, non-threatening and easily remembered. To do this we have used humor and examples that will stick in your mind long after you have been exposed to the material.
